El Rey Del Mundo Imperio Cigar Humidor Online
El Rey Del Mundo Imperio Cigar Humidor Online is a 2017 edition of the Replica Antigua Habanos series. That is, a beautifully made cigar humidor, rich in wood inlays and elaborate marquetry, containing 50 special Cuban Cigars. The occasion for such a special release was the 170th anniversary of the El Rey del Mundo brand, a stalwart of Cuban cigar making since 1848.
The cigar chosen for this special release is the imposing Rodolfo vitola, which measures a hefty 54-ring gauge by 180mm in length. Easily a two-hour smoke, at a leisurely pace! These El Rey del Mundo cigars have been rolled by the most talented torcedores in Havana, using select tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region of the Island.
The cabinet itself has been manufactured by Cuban virtuoso Ernesto Aguilera of Humidores Habana. If you’re interested in the subject, we recommend reading our blog article about our visit to the factory, a couple of years ago.
A particularly beautiful piece of this product range, which is very popular with collectors and discerning aficionados, is the EL REY DEL MUNDO IMPERIO humidor. It contains a total of 50 cigars in two drawers in the “Rodolfo” format, which is one of the largest and most sophisticated figurados in the Habanos range. It has a length of 180 mm and a ring gauge of 54. The noble long fillers “totalmente a mano” were made by selected torcedores who specialize in large figure formats. Only the best tobacco from renowned tobacco plantations in the Vuelta Abajo were used for this. The extremely elegant tobacco blend of the “Imperios” is typically light to medium-bodied. The Habanos brand “El Rey del Mundo” first appeared in the 19th century. After the Antonio Allones factory had been producing cigars for 30 years in 1882, the decision was made there to bring a new brand of first-class quality and at high prices onto the market. With great confidence and little modesty, she was called El Rey del Mundo – The King of the World – and a complete success. This success lives on to this day in a selected Habanos range, which is famous for its light to medium-strong taste and its persistence.
